Foster student development and satisfaction in music performance through inspiration, coaching, rehearsing and collaboration, propelling the student musician to reach and enjoy their full musical potential!
Approach
- Arrange a regular meeting time for the lesson and help student set up practice schedule. Note: The number 1 contributor to student learning is regular practice!
- For younger students a parent will need to be involved who will understand the lesson and help the student practice at home.
- Connect student passion and interest with the activities which will grow their musicality.
- Understand student capabilities and tailor learning and practice goals using a proven thought process model which bring maximum results as quickly as possible.
- Provide opportunities for students to collaborate, record, perform and play in group settings to round out their development.

Age and Experience Level of Prospective Students
Students from age 5 through adult of all experience levels are all welcome! Curriculum and goals will be tailored to each student based on their capabilities. Younger students will need a parent involved to help with home practice.

Guitar
Beginners through professional; all styles for all ages of students including rock, R&B, pop, alternative, jazz. folk, americana, bluegrass, gypsy jazz, brazilian, worship accompaniment, celtic, instruction on theory, note reading, learning the neck, scales, arpeggios, right-hand picking techniques, left-hand techniques, licks, rhythms, stylizing, improvising, lead playing and ear training.
Bass
Beginners through professional; all styles for all ages of students including electric fretted, electric fretless, acoustic. Learn theory, note reading, ear training, learn the neck, scales, arpeggios, bass patterns for various styles including rock, blues, jazz, country, latin, reggae, etc. Learn various right and left-hand techniques to create the desired sound and style.
Piano & Keyboards
Beginning through intermediate students instruction available for new pianists addressing the fundamentals needed to start down the road to playing, including note reading, learning the keyboard, timing, etc. Intermediate students can work theory, improvising and stylizing for various genres. Can help set up and use electronic keyboards and coach on how to realistically imitate various instruments.
Effects & Electronics
Can instruct on use of different types of amplifiers and effects needed for various instruments to get the desired sound. Can provide hands on studio and recording experience to refine skills.
Instrument Setup & Repair
Can evaluate instruments and provide setup services and advice to ensure the best sound and playability are obtained.
How to Play in a Band
Learn how to play with other musicians in a way that blends, contributes to the overall sound, avoids overplaying and is tight.
Online Learning
Remote instruction is possible using video conferencing through skype or similar online collaboration tool.
