About

Inspire Music

Inspire Music is the mechanism utilized by Jeff to express his passion for musical expression through instruction and performance. Jeff is a lifetime lover, learner and participant in music, starting with piano lessons at a young age.  He began playing trumpet in middle school and continued through jazz band involvement at the college level.  Jeff discovered the guitar in high school and proceeded to launch a rock band which led to numerous paid music gigs through high school and college for dances, fairs and other events. Jeff began teaching guitar and bass while in high school and continued doing so through his college years, including instruction offered through Bellevue College for credit.  He also performed in various musicals such as Jesus Christ Superstar, Godspell and the Living Christmas Tree. Jeff began college as a music major, studying music theory and composition from the renowned late Kenneth Kimball before transitioning his major to Electrical Engineering. He has toured professionally with different groups and played for hire in many major musical productions involving choirs, orchestra and band.

As an expression of his love for all things musical, Jeff has served in many musical capacities, including church Music Director, Cascade Community Theater Orchestra director, band leader for various groups, and has organized numerous community music events including Duvall Tree lighting performances, Farmers Market music groups, Duvall Days stage entertainment and others

Jeff is currently teaching privately and through Snoqualmie Valley Music school, having completed training and certification as a Musikgarten curriculum instructor.  Jeff leads and performs in “Cascade Stringswing”, a gypsy jazz influenced group, performing regularly in the area. He also attends various music workshops and events across the country and enjoys the Seattle gypsy jazz jamming scene.  Jeff creates custom-recorded tracks for weddings, plays and other productions using his music studio.
